This resale 2BHK duplex flat has been transfigured into a lavish 3BHK bunglow by high-end interior designer, Mr. Akhil Chatrath. Just not the interiors, but also the exterior wall cladding, exclusive parking design with false ceiling and landscaping have been taken care of.
The Catch:
The owners were skeptical whether the kitchen will have sufficient space. When it was finally completed, they said, “We don’t have enough stuff to fit in.”

Every room is worked upon aesthetically and ergonomically.
Living room
A spiritual wall painting of Lord Shiva by a local artist is visible right from the entrance. The furnishings, wallpapers, flooring and lights give the space a chic look. Thumb impression locks and VDP are installed for security. A powder room has been added with theme ‘Maximalist Minimalism’. After all, nothing makes guests feel more pampered than a stylish powder room.
Temple
An Indian home is incomplete without a mandir. An exclusive temple space is crafted adjoining the staircase. The area is also amped up with temple bells, the spiritual ‘Om’ and a bright back light.
Kitchen
The kitchen mirrors a sleek, urban appeal. Smart organization racks, drawers, pull-out cabinets, bi-fold shutters, tall unit and wicker baskets, all contribute to a clutter-free look.
Parents’/ Guest Bedroom
In case parents drop in for stay, it will be difficult for them to climb the stairs. So, a subtle bedroom with attached washroom is designed on the ground floor for them.
